I read several threads throughout this forum where people have talked about working on a decently budgeted film.

I was wondering how many people in this forum have talent agents?

just wondering...

Most Directors get their own work until they are big. Its great having someone pimp you but they need something to pimp also remember they want 20%+

20%+? Writer's agents only take 10%. Do reputable agents for directors really take 20%+?

In California, it's against the law for an agent to charge over 10% commission for any kind of talent representation. Managers have no such restriction, but the law prohibits them from procuring work for their clients -- that's what Agents are franchised by the State for.
