AG-MC200G Mic not too snug on top of HMC-150...

I assembled the clip onto the camera and its good. When I put the mic in and screw it closed there is some play to it..I can push the mic up and down a little..it's not "tight".

Is this normal? Its certainly not going to fall out, but I assumed a Panasonic camera and mic would be a tighter lock.

I don't have that mic, but for my Sennheiser, I wrap a bit of camera tape around the body to increase the diameter. Holds nice and tight then.
 
I'm using an AT875R on the camera. The mic ships with two rubber O Rings. When positioned correctly on the mic they lock into the mic mount's inside recessed slots. Perfect fit with minimal play ...
