ok guys, does this shot gun mic, ag mc 100 make a BIG difference, as oppoed to the dvx interal audio system? i meen i wanna have pretty far shots, wil lthe shot gun mic pick it up? is it beter than the dvx's audio quality? thanks
 
one more question, i live in canada, and if i wanted to prchase that, cud i travel to buffalo (only a couple hour away) and buy it there? my dad hates paying online
 
Where are you mounting this mic? To get good audio a mic needs to be near the source. Most mics mounted on top will sound better than the stock dvx, however I wouldnt call it good by any means especially for far shots. I'd much rather have a cheap mic on a pole than a high dollar schoeps camera mounted - of course the schoeps on a boom would be nice too. I'd read the audio stickies in the audio forum. I've seen this mic discussed before and a search would be able to tell you how good of a mic it really is - if I remember right its not that fantastic, but I would guess its better than the internal mic, especially if boomed close to the source. And yes that Azden comes with the foam - at least thats what the link you provided says...
