AG-DVX100B is not functioning audio while Recording

Panasonic AG-DVX100B is not functioning audio while Recording. NO AUDIO LEVEL. But when I have used it as VCR with my FCP6, then it records and playback nice audio video, so I have confirmed that the VCR is functioning OK. I tried all sorts of ways to activate the Audio Recording -- Changing all Format/Speed - the scene files -- initialized, checking double all the audio selection buttons - LINE-MIC, INTL-L/R, INPUT1/2, all. NO AUDIO FOR RECORDING. What could be gone wrong?? Hardware audio-circuit?
Please enlighten me, I would be grateful.

well, first, have you plugged headphones in when trying to record? Do you hear anything?

First guess would be either you don't have your mic plugged in correctly/bad cable or you haven't turned phantom power on with a mic that needs phantom. Or, you're plugging a T-powered mic in - the DVX100 doesn't have native T-power, you have to get an adapter.

So, what type of mic are you plugging in? What happens when you try to run with the internal mic?

These are some things to check. It is also possible that something is just plain broken in your camera.

Thanx Phil for helping me. I have tried all sorts of combinations including Internal Mic L/R and with or without 48+V Phantom, result - No AUDIO in my headphone and no AUDIO level visible. Regarding MIC the I used the XLR condenser MIC that comes with DVX100B and I checked the cable also. Do you think problem is somewhere else?
