After the Kodak Moment

kodak, for those times when you need your tomato sauce to be just the right shade of red.

Nice little film.

I used to shoot stills on a kodak pro back 16mp 12bit raw (discontinued in 2004!)

The thing about that is that it was really really really good and still is!

Kodal SLRn also had 14mp, first full frame nikon fit digital camera (excluding the HorsemanDigiflex!) - nikon D2 of the same era was 4.5mp

no idea why kodak lost the digital race so badly

Very sad.
Everyone knew the location "Rochester, NY" because that's where Kodak made film for the world.
My first hint that things would never be the same was driving through Hollywood 15 years ago where I did business at the various film labs (Hollywood Film Enterprises, CFI and others), and they were gone - and I don't mean just empty - I mean bulldozed to the ground. These were the labs that had processed film for DeMille and Chaplin and all of the others right up through the end of the century.
