after effects titles

(i had this posted in the avid thread...hoping to get an answer here)

I am putting some animated titles that I created in after effects onto a project in avid 5.1.6. The thing is...I have one little problem that is bugging the hell out of me. When I output the animation from after effects, everything looks great...the edgess are nice and smooth...even on my realtime ntsc output monitor. But...as soon as I import them into avid, the nice smooth edges are all of a sudden all jagged. I tried messing around with the import settings but cannot seem to find a method that will make them look as nice as they do before I input into avid. I was going to post some screen grabs but if I ouput a graphic, everything looks fine again. Any thoughts anyone?? Thanks!!

Try exporting them using "ANIMATION" or DV NTSC(sorry I don't have AE with me right now..can't remember exactly what it is..DV NTSC I'm sure..)...was it shot on DV?

Watch out for titles in DV format (in editor)
Thin edges or fien detail can becoem lost when put into DV format.

The orginal title is from illustrator. I allways export with the highest resolution and it looks fine...the problem is after I import it into avid...thats when it looses res. i have tried, what i beleive to be, all different setttings, none of which maintain the res...any thoughts. thanks!
