after effects text

Hmm ran into a funky problem today AE CS5 working on an intro for my videos and for some reason the text when I zoom in is blurry as heck on the edges? Anyone know how I can get crispy text in AE?

Thanks,

Click on the little sun symbol for your layer. It's the collapse transformation/continually rasterize option.

Once that's turned on, you'll get clean edges no matter how close you zoom onto your text or scale it.

However, if you're just doing something like zooming in on your canvas with the middle mouse wheel, then it's going to remain pixelated.

Is it just a regular text layer or is it contained in another comp or some kind of image format? If it's a text layer, maybe you're not using a TrueType Font?

Dumb question , but is this the preview or the export? Do you have full resolution set for both?

When you zoom in on the comp window the text is going to get blurry. When you zoom via a 3D camera into 3D text or scale it up you will not see any blurriness.

To see if it's actually blurry, set your preview resolution (using the drop down under the preview window) to Full and the zoom to 100% (also with a drop down under the preview window, but over to the left). It should be nice and crisp.
