After Effects P2 import (windows)

Shot 1030 30p footage on an HVX, running After Effects CS3 Pro on XP. All footage was shot in front of a green screen.

When I go to import I can't select any of the MXF files. I heard of an update for support for P2, and told my I.T guy, but he said that our After Effects version is up to date and doesn't need it, we have 8.0.2.27.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
 
That version should indeed support P2. I imported to that version many times (both via the import dialog and drag and drop).
