After Effects live preview problem

Hi all,
Quick question...all of a sudden my After Effects 7.0 stopped doing live updates. Usually when you rotate a layer, etc., you see what you're doing as you do it, but now if I rotate from 0 to 90 degrees or do anything else, it doesn't show every degree in between, just 0 and then when I let up on my cursor, it shows 90. Is there some hotkey or something that I might have hit to disable my live preview? Thank you!

Just to clarify a little more, the live preview is gone from everything, not just rotation. If I render, I can't scrub through, it just displays the frame where I started and then when I let go, the frame I stopped on...
 
i don't know 7 that well but cs3 has a button to enable/disable live preview. it's where all your master buttons are above your layers.
 
just so you know, if you are ever working with a large comp that is bogging down your system, disabling live preview will take a load off and buy you some more computing power and speed.
