Im having trouble getting after effects to play any footage i import. Its gh2 footage 1280x720 @ 60fps.
When i create a composition it looks fine Just Dont hear any sound and the Frame Rate is @ 30 or somthing because its all in slow mo.

can someone please help me so i can get this done so i can not have to worry bout this again??

Thanks

I don't think the MTS files will work right as is in AE. You need to wrap them or transcode them to get the frame rate/interleaving right. Depends on what OS you are using what to use. Might be some clues in this long thread
http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?270150-ClipWrap-equivalent-for-Windows-wanted

I convert GH1 mts files to Cineform, but that might not an option for you. I think you may be able to do it in Premiere or with Adobe Media Encoder as well. Google might help you find something to solve this problem.

I used FCP to import all my GH2 and HPX170 footage so it converts the MTS to .mov i believe? and the MXF to .mov....

DVCPRO HD (1080p30), Linear PCM, Timecode (all my hpx footage) or 72060p.

Apple ProRes 422, Linear PCM, Timecode (all of my gh2 footage) so it isnt mts...

they open in cs6 premiere and fcp, Im on after effects cc. When I create composition with correct parameters it either doenst have right frame size or has no sound or plays in slow mo..

I'm pretty sure there are issues with using FCP to do the convert, but I don't use a Mac. You might want to look for a tool called 5DtoRGB, I've seen it mentioned often on converting MTS to MOV for Mac users.

yeah ive used 5dtorgb, Log and transfer on fcp makes the footage converted. an yeah im on a mac , thats prolly why we still are having trouble.

So your problem is that your video has no sound in AE and that it is playing back at 30fps instead of 60? wasn't clear from your OP.

right click on your comp in AE and click comp settings - alter the frame rate to 60fps instead of 30.
if that was already set up correctly, right click on your footage, click inerpret footage and alter the footages framerate to 60p.

Sound:
if you drag your footage onto the comp, do you get a seperate audio and video layer? Have you unmuted the Audio layer? Under Windows you can bring up the playback controls for RAM preview. There you can set The audio to be rendered in RAm Preview and hit the Play button or simply 0 on the Numpad. See if you have audio now after the Ram Preview has finished rendering.

first off none of that works. i dont know what to do, i did what you said still its out of order nothing is working properly at all....
can you please help me with this with teamviewer or somthing similar? so then i can just remember what to do , cuz theres over 805623986532 options for eveything its very confusing.

I make a composition to EXACT same thing as DVCPROHD and same fps ect. still nothing ive done it multiple ways too.... same with eveyrthing else this is stupid

WHen I make a composition It isnt the right size of what it should be its never right, can some one please help me.

After Effects gives you a lot of control over video settings. This is one of it's strengths, but can also be a curse if you don't know the settings or just overlook one. Stefan's advice is solid and his advice should fix any format issues.
The other thing that could be causing you grief is that AE isn't like PP or FCP when you hit play. It can play back footage in real time, but not always. It depends on how many layers, what effects, how much RAM and what GFX card you have. It can also play back but not in real time and without audio. There's a window that shows the playback status and it will have the fps in red if it can't play back in real time.
