After effects 6.0 Company logo

I never used after effects I have 6.0 and I want to design a company logo that's simple but professional.

It seems pretty hard I don't know how to start it doesn't have a time line! I will be using the text for the opening of my movie and I want to do some type of animation.

Anyone that can point me in the right direction with simple step by step process in order to do so?

Do some tutorials...it will be a frustrating experience if you don't learn.

My suggestion would be to design your logo in Illustrator and then animate it in AE. When you go to AE select new composition, pick your settings and then the timeline will appear. Once you get this far...do some more tutorials!

If I were you, I would try to play with the software for a few hours. Then download as many tuts as you can and watch the. I would buy a book too. for tuts: http://forums.creativecow.net/index.html
