Affortable follow focus?

[Elmy]

Is there such a thing as an affortable follow focus? I would really like to purchase one but I keep feeling that there are still more important things to be spending that much money on. I can't seem to find one cheaper then the indieFollow Focus which still comes to about 350$ geared. Why exactly are they so expensive such small product? I don't doubt their important though.

Well, for a considerable drop in quality you can look at the D Focus and the indiFOCUS20, which are both $150 or less.

isnt the FOCUS20 for smaller cameras like the CanonHV? I have an HMC150, and if considerable is as large as it sounds, I guess I'd rather just save up. I don't mind taking a small hit for less expensive, I can make cheap work, but 150, compared to 450-500, for considerable loss of quality isn't too worth it.
