Affordable SDI to HDMI converter

Hey guys,

Just picked up a BMC and my monitor only has component or HDMI inputs.

Just thought I'd put it out and see if you guys knew of a really affordable easy to manage SDI to HDMI adapter. Preferably one that has a battery or slot for battery - or something. Just really low profile. I see a bunch that are over 200 bucks... and figured there might some real cheap option that is a bit harder to find on a google search.

Would like to spend less than 100 if at all possible. Thought it was worth asking you guys.

Thanks!

I would honestly pick up one of the Atomos or Black Magic converters that run close to $300. For one, you can be sure that if it fails, the company will replace it. If you get some sub-$100 cheapo converter from China, when the thing craps out, you have to spend another $100 to get a replacement. Might as well spend a little bit more and have a product that lasts much much longer.

I've personally used the Black Magic converter before and it works well. On the other hand, I think the Atomos Connect Converter gets your more bang for your buck, plus it is battery powered.
