Affordable high speed camera?

[HBlack]

I've wanted to rent one for a while, but haven't been able to find anything. I'm near Toronto. Do any high speed cameras (over 100fps) exist at a reasonable price? I'm thinking around $300/day at most.

Nobody?

it's probably not what you're looking for, but I believe i saw somewhere on engadget (www.engadget.com) a new DSLR that shoots ridiculously high speed (over 100 fps).

It came out at CES, so if you head over to the engadget website you might be able to find it on there somewhere. I know you're looking to rent, but I believe the camera it self is pretty reasonably priced.

Thanks, I've looked at that. Problem is it only shoots at high speeds in useless resolutions.

You're not going to find it in that price range. I think that's what it boils down to, and also why there's not a lot of responses in this thread...

The Phantom HD goes for roughly $2500-$3500 per day.

Damn, I was hoping there would be something cheaper than a phantom. Oh well.
