Affordable filters for my new mattebox/hvx?

[abalex]

Does anyone knows of a good place to buy a set of filters that I can use with my HVX/mattebox? Price is important.

thanks

Which filters are you looking for ? You can go from the polycarbonate ones such as Lee to high end glass such as B&W. B&H , Abel cine, Film tools among others sell filters. This is one place where I wouldn't cut too many corners.

We just bought some Schneider 4x4 filters. I think they are a decent price for the quality. Go with glass, gel filters are a waste of money - personal opinion. Schneider makes a couple nice basic kits to get started.

The ASC has some reasonable filter kits on their online store. Unfortunately the words "glass" "filter" "4x4" and "cheap" tend not to co-exist...
