Hi everyone!
I'm pretty much done with editing - what do you think?

The thing i'm missing is a more closeup tracking shot of a car - i will shoot one in the near future and then add it to the reel soon.

Wow! Really nice job. Great scenes and I like your color grading. I'd hire you!

One piece of feedback is that some of the scenes seemed to judder a bit. Perhaps this is because you're dropping 50p or 60p footage into a 24p timeline? I only ask because I was seeing this happen the other day with my humble little GoPro aerial shots. I edit in FCPX, and telling the program to do a better job interpolating the footage yielded nicer results than the default "skip every 5th frame" workflow.

good point, the judder annoyed me as well on a few shots. what "effect" would you recommend? frame blend? motion blur? twixtor? so many ways to do it... will do some tests!
 
Nice stuff. Blows my mind that it was all shot on a GoPro.

With the juddery scenes, what framerate is the original?
 
Thanks! The juddery stuff was shot in 60p, with a ND filter on... Cleaned these shots via frame blend in PR. Yeah, impressive what this little cam puts out in Protune.

Just ordered a longer lens for it to get rid of the fisheye look... Will report back!
 
Righty gents...

The 5.4mm lens arrived a few weeks ago - cost me 100 bucks (plus some sweat to take the gopro apart myself)!

We shot some great stuff with it and I just finished the re-edit and finished the showreel. I just re-uploaded it to vimeo (replaced above), would be cool to get the last feedback and critique from you guys, before we release it to the public!
 
thx! all shots needed some post sharpening, as we shot with sharpness set to low in camera. considering to up the sharpness to medium, not sure though... thoughts?
