AE worth it?

[EmperorHai]

Alright, I was thinking about getting AE pro. Is it worth it? I mean, really?

Re: AE worth it?

Do you mean is it worth it compared to AE Standard? In pro, you get a better keyer (keylight), motion tracking (though still not the best MT available), particle playground, and a few other jazzy things. In this respect, it's really up to you if those added features are worth the extra cost. If you plan to do any sort of work that would need these added features, then it may be worth it rather than having to buy another program to do it in.

If you mean to ask if AE in general is worth it, that really depends on what you want to do with it. Just having it will not do anyone any good.

Render Farming is another option that makes pro very handy.

If you're serious about your work, or will be using it professionally, then it's a definate good idea to get the Pro bundle... It has the features you'll need for certain situations you're likely to come upon in pro-level work.
