AE unable to render entire time lapse sequence

Heres the deal:

I shot a time lapse that is 1:51 secs at 24fps on the 5d at full resolution. There is flickering so I'm trying a plugin. I sit and let it render, and it stops at maybe one second. I am unable to see how well the plugin worked or where I need to make changes. How can I render the entire project and make adjustments after its done on the timeline?

Are you talking about a ram preview, or you cant render out the file?
If you are talking about a ram preview (pressing 0) lower the ram preview quality, or get more ram.
If you are talking about rending out a file (make movie) then what error are you getting?

ram preview. I get maybe 3-4 seconds of preview before it quits. I have 12gb of ram. For instance, FCP can render out the entire TL so Im able to see where or where not the effect did not work. Is there a way to render out the sequence without making a video file? To where I'm able to view it in AE and edit in AE?

AE isn't an editor. You can edit in AE, but only fool would do such things.

Of course you need to edit within After Effects, but not as you would in a NLE.

As for the OP, try looking in your AE preferences to boost your performance a little. Make sure you're allocating as much of you RAM as possible for After Effects. Try enabling disk cache. Also, you might want to lower your RAM preview resolution to get longer previews.

Are you working at the original photo resolution or have you scaled everything down to HD-size? It could be that FCP is automatically dropping the quality so it fits the whole timeline in the preview, which AE doesn't do unless you tell it to.

Its at full resolution, Im doing digital zooms and stuff. I'm just unable to watch the entire clip to see where the DEflicker effect worked out not.

In which case, decrease the RAM preview resolution to half or quarter - that's why you're getting such a small amount of playback. For final output you should be working in a HD-size comp, though.

You could also just export it to see if it worked.

what i ended up doing is exporting the clip from fcp, with zooms and such into AE, and then applied the effects. But now the sunrise looks horrible when i export from compressor. bleh.

What do you mean it looks horrible? Are you compressing your export to then work in AE?

im finalizing the clip in fcp with digital zoom in/outs. I export the clip from compressor. i then import the clip in to AE to apply effects, then export from AE and bring that final clip into FCP to add to the timeline and export from there. The export wasnt good, very dry and blown out.
