AE Stability

Greetings,

I've been working with AE CS3 under Vista 32 bit for the last couple of weeks, and it's been crashing frequently. The crash error prompts are rather generic ("something bad happened," for example) and do not give me enough details for further investigation. I've tried keeping a log of my actions as I work on a project, but I've yet to find a way to reproduce crashes "on cue."

I've never used a previous version on AE, so I do not know if this is a CS3 thing or a CS3+Vista thing. Anyone in here using AE CS3 under XP? If so, does it seem relatively stable?

I used CS3 the entire day yesterday on a project for the first time and it was faster and much more stable than 7 which always gave me headaches, especially on renders. I couldn't be happier!

That's good to hear. I have been thinking about getting the whole package, but had noticed how 7, though it brings a lot of new tools to the party, can be quirky.
