AE greenscreen for Vegas!

I have some greenscreen footage that I want to export and use in vegas to place a different background. Once I have done the matte and it looks good then I export as uncompressed avi. How would I use the clip now in vegas to subsitute the background if the matte has been done in AE?

I could do that but... My CC skills lie in Vegas. Just wondering if it could be done anyways.

I've never used AE but you need to export with an alpha channel. This means both uncompressed and 32 bit. (uncompressed 24 bit cannot cary an alpha channel). Then in Vegas go into the media properties on the event and tell Vegas it has an alpha channel (probably using straight unmatted setting)

I tried it with an alpha channel export from AE and all I could see was the white mask. I'll try again with your recommended settings. Thanks!

Lossless with Alpha from AE was the ticket. Then, like you said, changing the properties of that clip in Vegas to straight unmatted. Thanks!
