I don't have Production Studio so I can't open AE project files in Premiere Pro 2.0. What I usually do is render out the AE project as .avi uncompressed and then edit in PP.
Problem is that the rendered file cannot be previewed either in Premiere or an outside player due to incredibly choppy playback. It works fine when rendered out to the final video but the inability to see what I'm actually doing is frustrating. I'm pretty sure that this is a codec problem and not my computer. I'm able to edit HDV mpeg file fine with Premiere and I have no idea why the uncompressed .avi (also HDV) from AE would be such a problem.
Is there an alternative way to render out uncompressed from AE? I checked the render option and .avi is the only one that offers an uncompressed output, everything else already has a preset.
