AE 6.5 Pro : Newbie question -- Time remapping

Hi all,

I'm very new at AE, so please accept my apologies if my question has been over-debated already (although I couldn't find any thread that seemed to relate to it in the earlier posts).

Anyway, here goes : I'm using AE 6.5 Pro and my only goal for the moment is to slow down some footage. Should be easy enough, but I find the Time Remapping controls quite difficult to understand and operate properly, so my question is this : does any of you know if there's a good and *simple* online tutorial on this technique somewhere ?

Tks a lot in advance for your help !

Re: AE 6.5 Pro : Newbie question -- Time remapping

I'll just briefly revive this thread to thank you for the link you mentioned, and to proudly announce that I've finally become proficient at time remapping... ;D ... not entirely owing to that tutorial, but because I've discovered some stupid fact which *never* gets explicitly mentioned anywhere, and which is that the first thing to do in AE before you start remapping time is to reduce the overall length of the clip you intend to play at fast speed... Sounds dumb, but AE will not do it by itself the way Premiere Pro (for example) does.

Anyway, thanks again (albeit belated) for your help !

I'll now try to fathom the mysteries of pixel aspect ratio, which remains my pet peeve...
