Advice On Youtube Views

Recently, I had a lot of videos I made on "Things I Learned From Delta Force" and I figured since they star Chuck Norris that I would go ahead and reach out to other Chuck Norris related videos on Youtube and comment on "If you are a fan of Chuck Norris then come to my Channel and view these videos" or something like that.

This was going good for awhile and I was getting a lot of views only to check one day and found out that all of the other Chuck Norris related videos I posted it on were removed and a lot of Youtube views were reset.

I figured this approach had a lot to do with that . My question is what is a better way to comment on other people's youtube views so that you yourself can drive more views to your related videos.

I think the first step is to ask youtube why your views were reset (am I reading it correctly saying that the videos you posted on were removed and not your own videos?).

There are also "networks", so to speak, for youtube that may be applicable to you. One can be under this network and have their stuff featured on their main channel. One obvious one that comes to mind is Machinima.

Alternatively, I often find that finding an online community that has to do with your content (is there some Chuck Norris appreciation forum?) and sharing your stuff there is a good idea. Register to a bunch of forums and maybe even post your stuff in their off-topic sub forum. You can then analyse with youtubes tools where your views are coming from be it shares, embedded views, etc. and fine tune your approach to sharing your content.

Finally, consider adding a short 30s bumper to the end of your video directing your viewer's energy. They just finished watching this video and they really like it, now what? Check out this other video I have, or share my video on FB, etc. Getting your viewers to share your content with their friends is the best way to grow.

Definitely make a blog post on a website about it. Also, SEO up your YT video description so you will show up in Google as well as YT. :)

In the land of YouTube, content is king. Create content that inspires people to share it, and do it consistently, and eventually you will get subscribers. More subscribers = more of an initial boost in views and higher search engine ranking. Reach out to other YouTubers and make partnerships to cross promote your channels. Find a client with a ton of subscribers and make something to go on their channel in exchange for linking back to your channel via annotations, and also have them list your channel as a related channel on their channel page.

I think the bottleneck for most folks is the "create compelling content on a regular basis" part. Think about it. . .doing anything more than talking in front of a webcam (e.g. making a short film/commercial/promo video/whatever) is a challenge in the first place, doing it ONCE A WEEK? Very tough if you have a job and other life responsibilities.
