Advice on mics

I was looking at the Azden WMS-PRO Wireless Mic/Receiver System for my dvx100. does anyone know how well this system works with this camera? Are there xlrs? Please help im quite new to this and dont want to buy something i cant use. Thanks in advance.

hmmmm... never used that system before... might wanna check out Lectrosonics www.lectrosonics.com first ....then Sennheiser www.sennheiserusa.com ...before making a decision

We use lectrosonics. It has a dual antenna system to prevent/reduce drop-outs and R/F

The Azden WMS-Pro is a mini plug, not XLR. It's also VHF, which is prone to interference.

I would look into the new Sennheiser models, but they are considerably more expensive than the WMS-Pro.

I love my 2 sets of Sennheiser ew112p G2 and I can use them to my ME64/k6 or MD421

I have an Azden 500UDR reciever with a 51BT wireless transmitter and a 51HT handheld mic. I haven't used them too much, but so far no problems at all. Most people on this forum prefer the Sennheiser G2 series. I use these at work (my day job), and I think the Sennheiser lav is a cheap mic. If you get the G2 set, I would get a different mic to go with it. The lectrosonics will probably the best choice, however, it will be the most expensive.

i bought it with a 1/8 to xlr adapter. well see how it goes. i dont really have more than 200 dollars right now for a mic. but i need one soon because i am shooting a documentary and i will be doing many interviews.
