Advice on Mic Placement inside a Blimp

I just had a Rode blimp delivered last night. Nice piece of kit. Looking forward to doing some outdoor work now that the east coast weather is improving.

To start, I'm going to be using it with an AKG CK93. Acknowledging this is a hypercardioid, I'm going to experiment with it for outdoor dialog before I part with additional funds.

As many of you are aware, the CK93 is a relatively short mic and--even pushing it forward as far as physically possible on the blimp's rails, it's still about 4-5 inches from the front edge of the blimp.

Question is this: Is there an optimal distance between the mic capsule and the front of the blimp? It's obvious the closer the capsule is to your source the better but can it be too close to the blimp material? Too far?
