Advice on making a leader

Hi Guys,

I have a picture of a cityscape that I have processed in Photoshop. It looks pretty
cool. I would like to take a stab at making this into a leader.

My question:

I've seen some really cool leaders that start with a few brush strokes and gradually the whole picture comes into view.

What program / software would be used for something like this? I know this maybe somewhat of an obscure explanation but don't know really how else to explain it.

Thanks.

Mark

P.S. I'm on a PC.

My guess is that you could most likely accomplish this in after effects. I must admit though, I don't know how. Might be a question for the after effects forum....

Hmmm....start with the finished picture, then erase it bit by bit, taking snapshots all the while. Reverse it in the NLE.

you do this in after effects by compositing solids. if you want to give it a go ill tell you how.

mcshyd: Would you mind telling me how to go about it? I would like to learn how to do this.

dj200423: I'm very grateful for your offer and will probably take you up on it, but I would first like a crack at trying to learn how this is accomplished.

Thanks to both of you.
