things are slow right now, I dont have much booked this month or next even. then its full throttle with multiple summer shoots.

what do you guys do when business is slow?

We are in the same position, we are quite a new company but hopefully will have some bookings for the summer also...
At the moment i'm just working hard to get our name out to people... just cut together a new showreel and have circulated that and we are working on social networking sites which is hopefully making people aware of us in the local area...

I guess now is the time to be working on the background things for your business... that hopefully don't cost too much! Get the things done that you will not have time for in the summer...?

Not exactly words of wisdom i'm afraid but thats what i have been getting on with since we delivered our last projects...

Things are really slow.. more like stopped right now. March-June was pretty good--actually the best ever since I decided to do video professionall in '03, but July to present has not seen one prospect, to say nothing of actual work. All leads coming up cold. There used to be just price resistance, but now there is resistance to hiring video production services at all. Things look bleak right now, and if the Gleason Report is any indicator, they're going to get a whole lot worse in general, which means 'luxury' services like videography, are out the window for good. I'm only hanging on because I love this kind of work, but it's been a negative money pit since 2003. The only benefit is the tax writeoffs of the equipment.
