I'm a beginning film maker and I'd like to improve my cinematography skills. I know the best way to improve is to get behind the camera and shoot, but I also want to know what resources exist to supplement a hands-on approach to learning the trade.

One thing I like to do is watch movies (and TV shows) with the sound off so as to focus on the visual story and the cinematography. It's also great to check out the special features on how the film was shot (eg. Amelie).
