Advice:2 camera shoot. HVX and XL2

I have a shoot with an HVX200 and a Canon XL2 as my two cameras. It we needed two cameras for coverage.

Having done a test on the two, there are clear setting differences. It seems that the white balances won't align. The two cameras also seem to have differences between whether they shoot 16:9 natural and masked.

Can anyone offer advice of what to test for or issues that might arise down the road. I am getting everyone together for one weekend of filming and can't afford a reshoot. Failure is not an option.

Thanks for any advice.

Try to shoot some footage of a white card with both cameras (preferably the same card at the same time). Then you can sync the white points in your NLE instead of in-camera.

As for the 16x9 issue, I don't know the specs on the XL2 so someone else would be better off answering that.
