ADS Tech's PYRO A/V Link

I've been using my DVX100 as the bridge between Firewire output from my computer to the analogue NTSC feed for my TV monitor, to view my timeline edits and playback my AVI files on a true monitor. I'm always weary to use the DVX for extended periods of time, not wanting to put any unnecessary wear-and-tear on it.

Has anyone used the PYRO A/V Link? It's pretty reasonably priced and allows pretty flexible output options.

Thoughts?

I use my old Sony (the same cam I use as my deck) to do this. Once I tried to replace it with the Dazzle A/V Link. It sucked, really bad. There was a huge lag, and it was like $200. I don't know about the Pyro, but don't use the Dazzle.

The Canopus ADC100 is pretty cool for this, more expensive then the competition, but it works better as well.
