adobe vs final cut

Ok again i will apologize if this is posted in wrong section..

Ok so my partner and i are trying to decide on software and machine.... we both are running with PC right now, but we want to start making commercials so we think we should upgrade. so here is the problem only one of us can afford to go Mac at the moment so adobe looks good cause i can transfer files from the mac to the PC and work on the same project. But if i get Final cut with the mac then we will have to have to dedicate each machine to specific projects . Do you think Final cut is worth only working on one machine or should we just Go Adobe ?

both are solid platforms....if you really want to swap between machines adobe suite comes in a mac version as well now.

I LOVE ADOBE PRODUCTION STUDIO PREMIUM, EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!!!!

ok there, I said it!

A lot of people don't take it serious, but it can take anything you throw at it! IF YOU LEARN THE SOFTWARE!

I am waiting to get adobe suite, there is nothing can replace photshop and after effect. ....photoshop and after effect is the wow when i comes to special effect

I can't speak for Final Cut Pro, but I've been using the Adobe suite for about three years now on a single processor PC (3.2 Ghz) and it runs great. I recently migrated to the new CS3 Suite and it flows very well between applicaitons. I'm shooting witth the 100B and the CS3 suite seems to be perfect for that camera.

Since you can only afford one new Mac it's clear you're on a very tight budget. For the cost of a Mac and FCS you can buy 2 seats of CS3 Production Premium. It's better to have 2 suites available. When you're trying to push multiple projects through the post pipline nothing slows the process down more than having only a single suite. Having 2 suites opens up the bandwidth, digitizing on one station while editing on the other. Even with one operator having a second suite is a tremendous benefit. Tasks such as AE rendering or burning DVD's can tie up a workstation for hours.

2 is better than 1.

Is your current hardware up to the task?

seriously final cut it no better, just more common amongst professionals. It's kind of like protools, it's not better than cubase just used by more people. I personally have fcp but if I was in your shoes I would go with adobe. I have used both and they both get the job done well!

Final Cut Pro is the standard today. Most major studios are abandoning the oldish Avid to buy new FCP suites.
I strongly recommend to go for FCP.
Go to their relative sites and examine them both.
