Adobe Video Bundle: Worth the Upgrade?

I'm using the older versions of Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, etc.

I consider myself a beginner, all things considered. Would I see any benefit in upgrading to this?

I guess a big factor would be what version you are running now. I'm sure you could learn from the older versions plenty as could I even though I wouldn't consider myslef a begginer but then the learning curve is going to be that much steeper when you eventually upgrade in the future. If you are still running premereie 6.x I would say upgrade but pro 1.5 is fine to keep. Encore 1.5 is more diffrent than 2.0 compared to premiere but it doesnt take long to learn either. good luck.

Are there any significant improvements to Adobe Audition?

I definitely think so. For me, the new multi-track mixer and ASIO support features are worth the update alone. Others may not think so since they may already be doing this with another app. I suggest that you check out the Adobe product page for Audition as there is a detailed list of new features there.

I've only been using the upgrade for a couple of weeks and I'm impressed with it.

If your upgrading from Photoshop 7 and/or Illistrator 10 then I think the upgrade is worth it on the improvments in those applications alone.

Add to that upgrading from Premeire 6.5 and/or AE6.5 and I think its a no brainer. Especially if you already own all of the applications in the production suite and the proefssional version of AE the upgrade only costs ~$650.

I haven't completely figured out the best way to incorprate Dynamic Link but the little I have used it has been very incouraging. Opening a PPro2 project with Dynamic Link in AE7 and the changes made in AE are automatically reflected in the PPro project without having to render it really cool. Obviously there are limits to that but I can certianly see how it could be used to provide more options for design and really improve throughput. I think its worth the upgrade for that alone.

So a lot of the answer to your question depends on which version your upgrading from and how much you will actually use this sofware to take advantage of how well it is integrated.
