i'm not familiar enough with adobe's roadshow events so let me ask:

are these tools which are being showcased going to appear in the next version of photoshop?

will that be an upgrade in cs 5.5 to cs6 or will that be an update to cs 5.5.1?

thanks in advance to those who care to share.

be well

some will end up in CS6, some will keep on in development and appear in later versions, or maybe never

the deconvolution stuff (e.g for compensating motion blur from a still to make it sharp again) has been in the works for years already

from twitter:

@5tu: The crowd reaction makes this video, even if the de-blurring tech shown is not that new: http://gizmodo.com/5848371/photoshop-will-end-blurry-pics-forever /via @emerywells

@danbgoldman: @5tu that's Jue Wang on stage, a research scientist in our lab in Seattle, who also co-developed rotobrush and warp stabilizer.

@5tu: @danbgoldman I remember a lot of activity around deconvolution in 2006-2007. Is this building on that research, or something new?

@danbgoldman: @5tu yes, and yes
