Adobe Premiere 1.5 export problem...

Hello, I've come into a strange error and am not sure what the problem could be. The problem is whenever i try to export my edited video project to avi and play that file through something else (media player, etc) the size of the frames changes, it plays fine before it's mixed down, all the settings are the same on the camera but the finished project exported causes the window to go out of proportion. I.E. the letter box size for one shot will be wider then the next. I have no idea what the problem could be, I've tried two different video cards (my old vid card a Radeon 8500, and new card 9600xt) and i get the same results. Has anyone ever run into a similar problem? My only though is that the camera is messed up but i don't know. I'm hoping to start a business in the future based around editing, and simple can not have this. Any help/suggestions would be GREATLY appriciated. Thank You :)

Are you saying it changes during playback of the same AVI? You mention letterbox, how was the original footage shot? Was some shot using a 16:9 squeeze mode and other shot in 4:3 mode and letterboxed in PPro?

yeah, it changes during playblack of the same mixed down file. it was all taped with letterboxed mode in the camera itself, the settings were the same and when i play the footage in Premiere Pro 1.5 before it's mixed down it seems fine, but the finished file changes in certain spot, giving it a squeezed look and such, throwing things out of proportion.
