Adobe prem 24p Pal problem

Hi all....

Just need some help. I have premiere pro 2 and their is no preset file for the Pal DVX100a. I know there is no need for a preset, as the camera already shoots at 25 fps in F5 & F6, but when I go to customize the preset, I can only select upper or lower fields and not progressive. Is this normal or is their something i've missed. Or does premiere detect the progressive footage and just adds another interlaced frame automatically.

Just edit using lower fields first. You can choose progressive when you export. I believe with Pal footage you can edit either way with the same results. I'm basing this on how Premiere deals with 30p footage here in NTSC land.
