Hey,
I often eport a video clip from the timeline as a flash or windows media file. All of a sudden now, when I choose export\media encoder, NOTHING HAPPENS. After a few minutes I notice that Premiere has frozen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere but still does it. Anyone know why?

Thanks,

Rich

Go to the link below:

Scroll a little more than half way down to this heading:

"Adobe Technical Support Documents"

Search through the articles for a possible solution. We'd need a lot more information from you to even begin guessing. There's a chance all you need to do is run some updates. An update to the Main Concept encoding software integrated into Premiere is a common one.

In fact, at the top of that page there's a little box on the right with the link "errors". Click on that.

How do you update the Main Concept encoding software in Premiere? I looked on Adobe's website and did not see how to update or download that. I already tried re-installing Premiere and that didn't fix the problem either.

Your problem MAY not be related to the Main Concept software - particularly if Premiere is crashing without an error message. Go to the link I posted above or directly to this link and search the information - there's a ton of issues addressed:
