Adobe Media Encoder freeze issues

Hey gurus I'm running Adobe CS5 on my PC and I've had a new issue come up that I've never experienced before. When exporting 2, 2 minute videos my Adobe Media Encoder locks up at some specific and (seemingly) arbitrary times. As an Mpeg2 it locks up after 18%, H.264 at 72%, and AVI at 22% (I can't remember the AVI % exactly, but it was around there). I have tried multiple times trying to export, there is plenty of space on all my drives, my computer has handled 30 minute full HD video renders/exports before so I know (or rather, I'm highly confident) that it's not an issue with my RAM or other hardware, and I'm just so perplexed as to why these are constantly stalling at those specific times each and every time I try and export.

Has anyone had any experience like this or does anyone have any advice??

Thanks in advance for any and all responses :)

Cheers,
Adam

Try rendering it straight out of Premiere using the Export function instead of Queue. If it still crashes then you have too many effects/calls to Dynamic linked AE files.

2.2 minutes doesn't sound super long so I don't think you'll need to break up your project file.

If the crashes are randon and don't occur in the same spot, it might be beneficial to try to troubleshoot your PC for overheating, bad ram, or bad power supply as well.

Prime95 does a good CPU stress test. Windows 7 Has a memory tester built in.

Demistate, thanks for the response - I had too many graphics in the project so besides a few odd workarounds it's all good now. Thanks for helping out! (I'm from the Champaign area too - Philo to be exact)

Cheers,
Adam
