This is a new, very cool opportunity to submit a documentary and win prizes through Adobe. I am a mentor for the students in Cannes festival where we want all of you to participate in the festival and contribute (it's free) to the Reel Ideas Studio www.reelideasstudio.com.
Last year, the film students from around the world created documentaries during the Cannes Film Festival. This year they are doing the same thing, but you can also create a short (3-5 minutes) documentary on subjects of substance and impact to you and to chronicle an experience in the Reel Ideas Studio. It's a social network, which means you can have people from all over the world contribute to your project or join your team through the website. Share assets and create connections in the industry.
There are two competitions - one for the students and one for the Community documentaries which would be the ones you would participate in but anyone can also help the students with files, advice and moral support as well. Remember these are new filmmakers and animators open to all kinds of suggestions, advice and critiques. Those who help teams but aren't part of the Core 4 team members are considered Virtual team members and if that team's documentary uses your files and they are recognized by the judges you would qualify for software prizes. The Grand prize for the community teams is a trip with festival creditentials to the 2008 Cannes Film Festival with 1 weeks accomdations and airfare - from where ever the winners are to Cannes!
Check out the studio today, pass it along to those you think would really enjoy participating and setting a team up themselves. For the first 10 full community teams of 4 to get established, post their objectives and synopsis of their documentary, load pictures representing themselves will all recieve Reel Ideas Studio t-shirts which are the shirts the students are wearing everyday in Cannes.

There will be a Reel Ideas Studio Screening and Awards Ceremony in Cannes in the American Pavilion on May 24th at 4:00 p.m. You are invited - you just may see yours or your friends work shown in the screening!
