Adobe Encore question

I am completely new to Encore so I have a question for anyone who might be able to answer. I have a DVD I am compiling for a friend which will have 3 sections on the menu screen (3 30 minute, chapter separated sections), my question is, in Encore, is it possible to have custom highlight images so that when (say, film 1) is selected it will display an image behind (or including) the text? If that is possible, is it also possible to have 3 unique images (one for each section). So in essence, assigning an image to a selection to only display when highlighted? I hope that all makes sense

so the background image is not visible for the 2 other sections? only the selected section is highlighted & displayed ?

if that's what you mean - it's not possible with a normal menu; it's not an encore limitation , its a dvd limitation

you should be able to do with switched menus, but audio won't be contiguous (there will be a break each time you navigate)

if you mean all 3 are visible, but only the selected is highlighted, then yes you can make a custom shape for the subpicture highlight that shows the selection

I mean that the 3 separate videos are text, once highlighted, an image appears behind to show the section you are on. I want a custom image for each highlight. From your reply, it would appear to be do-able so I will give it a try once I have all the source video. Thanks!
