Adobe Bridge Exporting

Hi guys! Let me apologize in advance if this topic has been covered before. Did
a search and nothing relevant emerged.

I have a show that was captured with Adobe Bridge -DV footage. I have both Avid and FCP and would like to edit in either one of them.

Can files be exported directly to either program. QT won't work because I need time code. Can't recapture because amount of footage and time limitations.

Other option would be to edit with Premier. I would prefer to edit in FCP or Avid,
but that may not be possible. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Why do you need to Export the files if they are already captured / ingested to your system /HD?

You need to Import the files to the NLE of your choice

Files are not on my system. Another system (SD).

So you are saying I can just import them ( the files) into Avid from this Adobe program?

Thanks

SD? Meaning what?

You don't have to do anything with Bridge -- just find the files themselves on the hard drive and import them into an editor.

SD=Standard Definition.

Ok-so you are saying that the Adobe Bridge media files will import into any NLE program,
including Avid or Final Cut Pro without having to convert or export those files to a quick time movie?

Or do I have to import them in Adobe Premiere for editing?

Having never used Adobe for editing video--I'm just trying to be clear.

Thanks

There is no such thing as Adobe Bridge Media Files (AFAIK)

What exactly are the files? ie. QT (.mov), .avi, other...?

Different NLEs work better with some files than others and of course its a bit platform dependent.

Premiere works fine with DV (.avi type 2). It works fine with QT (if has not come from a MAC) and you have QT Pro installed.

Ok thanks!

I haven't seen the files yet, but will need to get more info on them.

I think I got it now--thanks again.
