So my CPU is probably dead, one week after the warranty expired. I'd like to have it tested to make sure that's the problem, but every computer place around here seems to have gone out of business... anyway, in figuring out which processor to buy, I'm torn between the i5 and i7 for socket 1156. I'm having a hard time figuring out how much practical advantage hyperthreading would give me. Some places say a lot, some say none, so if anyone has experience with hyperthreading on Adobe CS4 or CS5, Neoscene, Photoshop, so forth, I'd like some advice.
