Adjust audio speed?

I am trying to speed up an audio clip I have. I don't mind if the pitch changes but I have discovered that FC does not allow you to alter the speed like you do a video clip. I have tried linking this audio to a video clip and adjusting that way but it seems to be very buggy. Occasionally nothing will happen or it will only adjust the first .5 seconds and the rest remains the same.

How can I adjust the audio speed? Are there any plug-ins or filters I'm not seeing?

Just found a work-around.

For anybody else having the same problem - Link the audio to a video file then export it. Import that file and adjust the speed on it. Seems to work that way.
 
did it mess with your pitch?
anyone know of a way to slow down a voice but not have the deep rumble???
 
I think garage band or soundtrack pro has a speed plugin that will keep the original pitch. I know Logic does.

Yes it does alter the pitch. Like the above poster stated, I believe there is a way to do it in soundtrack pro to avoid altering the pitch.
