Adding "widescreen" isn't working.....

Ok, I have HDV footage shot in 1080i / 30f. Looks wonderful, 3 way CC + other filters apply just fine but when I add the widescreen filter to the footage it doesn't show up on the image. Anyone know why this may be happening?

Even after you render it? Or, is the widescreen filter the last on the filter list after your CC etc?

HD images are naturally (HDV especially) 16:9. The Widescreen Matte filter defaults tto a 16:9 setting (1.78:1). If you want to go wider, you need to go into the filters tab and select a different aspect ratio. If this was not yet done, you have a 16:9 matte on a 16:9 sequence, so nothing will happen.
