I'm going to let this continue for now as it can be a useful tool. But, please do NOT abuse it and post silly, meaningless tags. I don't want to have to go and delete all that stuff all the time :)

If it doesn't get used properly, I'll kill it. So, please use it well.

do the tags help towards outside search engines? if it does this would be great as it would mean many more users from outside will hopefully land here :)
 
On some threads, one can add simple tags (much like tags on youtube) that allows DVXusers seach engine find threads more accurately I assume.

Take the D90 thread for example, look at the bottoms, users are allowed to add simple tags to describe that thread.
 
At the bottom of each page in a thread there is a bar called "Tags" and you can add a small number that relate to the thread. For example: I have added "Tags" as a tag to this thread. :D
 
Yeah. I had it off for some of you, but just turned it back on. If you started the thread, you will have the ability to self-moderate the tags placed and delete those silly ones that I speak of...

We'll see how it goes. Can be useful, but I don't want it being used inappropriately.

the ability to add and edit tags has been turned off for me. i used to have it. would like to contribute to its usefulness at attracting targeted keyword traffic to dvxuser.
 
Zak, sorry about that. There was a usergroup I missed when I was turning it back on. You should be good to go now, along with everyone else.
