Adding Slow Mo to 24pA footage...serious issues

So when I try to slow a clip down in my timeline that has been shot on DV X100A and applied 2332 pulldown it gives another piece of footage. It is the wierdest thing. It grabs footage from somewhere else in the clip and plays it in slo mo. When I scrub the timeline it is fine but as soon as I try to play it realtime it grabs footage from somewhere else. Anyone else had this problem and a possible solution. thanks
