adding frames....

Hi I was playing around with AE last night and managed to make a short text animation for a logo. I was wondering if there is a way to extend the last frames so that instead of a three second clip I have a 15 second clip.

I did it the long way by importing to FCP and adding about 10 instances of the last frame to extend the length of the movie.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers.

Thanks Capt mench, that does indeed adjust the time of the movie clip however it doesn't hold the last frame of the animation. So the animation plays out in three seconds and then there's 10 seconds of black. I'd like for the animation to play in three seconds and then hold the last frame of the animation logo for 10 seconds.

I guess i'll just stick to the way i did it before by manually adding the last frame to the timeline.

You can put the animation composition into a new composition. Then right click and choose Time-Time remap. Then go to the point in time where you want to freeze and click in the make keyframe box on the right to put a keyframe at that point in time. Extend the composition length. Then delete the last time stretch keyframe and extend the clip to the end of the comp.

Another way is to use Twixtor, which is a time remapping plug-in. It's sorta expensive though. But if you know someone who has it on their computer, it's really good for adding frames to slow down and extend a clip.

You can do pretty much what you did but create a freeze frame of the frame you want to hold in FCP.
