Adding Effects...Can you Layer them?

Is it possible to add more than one effect to one clip? For example, I have one clip now in my sequence that I sped up using the time remap tool. Towards the end of that clip I wanted to add some keyframes and have the whole clip spin around a couple of times before going to the next clip. I couldn't figure out how to layer an effect or bring in the 2nd effect towards the end of the first effect. The only thing I can think of doing is maybe keeping the clip like it is, then adding the same exact clip to the timeline and match frame it with the previous edit and key frame that one to spin.

Re: Adding Effects...Can you Layer them?

Although I'm sure you could do what you're wanting with keyframing the whole clip, why sit and wait for the whole clip to have to render again once you add your spin transition. Instead, go to the point in the clip where you want it to begin spinning and use the razor blade to make a slice. Then you can add your keyframes/spin transition to that little short piece and save some time. Hope this helps.

Re: Adding Effects...Can you Layer them?

BTW, after re-reading your post, I don't think I answered your question. Yes, you can add more than one effect to a clip.

With what you are wanting to do, at the point wherre you want the spin to begin, place a keyframe. Then go x number of frames forward and add another keyframe. At this point in the timeline, grab your clip and spin it however much you want.

If you want the clip to end-up straight again before the transition, I would recommend going to the point where you want it straight and adding another keyframe BEFORE going to the middle point and putting in your spin keyframes.

Hope this helps.
