Today I was taking a look at this "Glidecam" clone:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Stabil...005&prg=9373&rk=1&rkt=6&sd=221395820183&rt=nc
And it occurred to me that it was basically a monopod with a gimbal handle. Am I wrong?
So what I wonder is if anyone has tried (and succeeded) adding a gimbal to a monopod and how did it work out.
There seems to be a nice product, not yet released, that can be added to a Glidecam to make handling more comfortable:

I'm not such a fan of hand-held shots, but it might be useful on certain circumstances, if cost is not too large or can be DIYed.
I have used my monopod as a poor man steadicam, but movements are limited.
