adding 24p footage to 29.97 timeline?

Hey all,

I'm trying to cut together a demo reel of my recent work. I have tonnes of source material, some is 29.97 and some is 23.976. Most of it is letter boxed 16:9. I want to put everything together and then burn on a dvd.

What should I do in peremiere to combine this stuff? - I started out making a new 29.97 project and importing everything, the 29.97 stuff looks fine of course, but the 23.976 stuff needs to be renedered on the timeline and looks funky. (I think I can see strobing san lines in it.)

What should I do? Is it possible to add 23.976 footage to a 29.97 timeline?
 
you have to convert eh 23.976 footage into 29.97 using a 24pnormal pullup. THis cannot be done using premiere pro and yo must either dump the 24p footage into another nle thats supports it or do it in after effects (although you will have longer rendering times that another nle)
 
actually i have never done it, too time consuming for the rendering on AE. Just have to set the composite to be the proper length and go throught eh export setting making sure everything is at the proper settings and full qaulity. The 3:2 pull down option should be somewhere there. I would do a test export of about 10 seconds to make sure the output looks ok befor edoing something really lengthy.
