Hi everyone, I have a quick question because I'm a little unclear with the manual included with my DVX. I'm looking to add microphone via the microphone holder/adapter on my DVX. When I bought this camera, it came with an additional mic, a Shure PG81. However, this is meant for a boom pole. I knew this, but thought I'd try to see if it would fit in the microphone holder of my camera, which it didn't. It's circumference was too large. Which brings me to my question; what is the maximum circumference that can fit? It seems as though that would be information included in the manual ("when adding a mic, be sure it is no larger than XX" in diameter...") so that you'd know what to look for. Unless of course I'm over looking that somewhere.
So, is there a certain type, perhaps decided by size, that I should be looking for? Is there a handful that most suggest? I'm just looking for overall better sound quality, so not really specialty mic.
